Claudia

Claudia came from a place inside of me, that has always been curious about anyone who, in my opinion,  didn`t look the same as me. Different skin colour, hair texture, pinker palms, with darker brown skin on the back of their hands, beautiful in my option. More beautiful than what I see as the same as myself. I wanted to portray the beauty of dark brown skin, natural black hair, and full lips. To me, Claudia appears like a strong, independent woman, but the slight biting of her lip shows her uncertainty. This I wanted to add to show some vulnerability. I have chosen this image to hang on the wall in my bedroom (see image below) I share with my husband, because this piece is one of my favorite pieces to date, to have created.
